
In June of 2004, Joel Schreck of JMS Sales and Anthony Filiaci of Mark Anthony Sales joined forces to launch On the Road Reps. We both have had extensive experience in the gift industry before the formation of On the Road Reps. Joel Schreck had been a retailer for several years with three retail locations as a gift basket and balloon delivery retail establishment before becoming an independent sales representative. Anthony Filiaci had worked as a sales representative and sales manager beginning in 1984, with David Oestriech Inc. in NY. Mark Anthony Sales was formed in 1989.

Anthony Filiaci’s work experience has always been in sales. Before joining the gift and toy industry, sales positions were held in the newspaper advertising and pharmaceutical industries. Having gone the corporate route, the toy and gift industry was recommended by an acquaintance. It allowed the opportunity to eventually become an entrepreneur after his 5-year tenure with David Oestreich Inc.

Joel Schreck started his career in the retail industry. Having three stores that specialized in gift baskets and balloons over ten years, Joel gained valuable experience in dealing with his customers and vendors. After leaving his stores, Joel then began a long career in the airline industry. Working in a managerial position, his tenure there involved dealing with the Secret Service and mainly focusing on first-class passengers along with services that satisfied their various needs. Joel then realized that sales were his specialty, and he rejoined the gift industry, first working with ATC and then forming a partnership with On The Road Reps.

Our current customer base includes independent and mid-tier customers in card, gift, toy, souvenir, attraction, resort, pharmacies, and other specialty retailers. Our territory coverage includes NY, including Upstate & Long Island, NJ, PA, MD, DE, and the lower portion of CT. We have 12 road reps, which include Joel and Anthony, who continue to service accounts. We, as a group, have always enjoyed introducing new products to our customer base. On The Road, Reps is very good at recognizing trends and bringing those trends to our customers. Our philosophy is we are part of a three-legged stool, a true partnership between manufacturer, sales representative, and retailer, providing the end consumer with beautiful products to enjoy.
